It’s Volunteers Week 2018, and to celebrate the difference volunteers make Stirlingsh­ire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) have given local charities the opportunit­y to come together and say a personal thank you to their volunteers.

This year’s tagline for Volunteers Week is Volunteeri­ng for All to highlight that everyone and anyone has valuable skills which make them a perfect volunteer.

Stirling Carers Centre

The board and staff of Stirling Carers Centre want to say huge thank you to all our volunteers who selflessly provide hundreds of hours of support, ensuring we can provide essential services to our Young Carers, Young Adult Carers and Adult Carers. We want you to know we really do appreciate you all!

Raploch Community Partnershi­p

A huge thank you to all our wonderful volunteers at Raploch Community Partnershi­p. From early years to golden years, from school gardening to job seeking support, your enthusiasm and dedication inspires us every day.

Victim Support Scotland

Victim Support Scotland says a huge thank you to all our volunteers in the Victim and Witness Services who operate in the community and at court. Through your dedication and commitment, you support many people who are affected by crime and we couldn’t do this without you all.

Home-Start Stirling

Every year we help an average of 70 families and about 180 children in the Stirling area through the support of volunteers. All of us at Home-Start Stirling would like to say a huge and very heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers. No matter what you do and how much times you give, you are all so important to us and the families we help.

The Central Scotland Chinese Associatio­n (CSCA) and Central Scotland

Chinese Elderly Project (CSCEP) would like to thank all our volunteers for their hard work and support throughout the year. Volunteers organise regular lunches at our centre for the elderly members. We also organise an annual excursion to places of interest for our members and their families and friends.

St Mark’s Parish Church

We want to say a warm thank you to all the volunteers who help us throughout the year: from the members of our own and other local congregati­ons to the members of the local community who give freely of their time to support the work of St Mark’s.

Parkinson’s UK

A massive thank you from Parkinson’s UK to the fantastic volunteers who run our Stirling Parkinson’s branch. This year, the branch has supported the launch of the new Forth Valley Parkinson’s Singing Group led by three music teachers from Alva Academy. We really can’t thank you all enough.

The Braveheart Associatio­n

We cannot thank our volunteers enough for all their ongoing enthusiasm and commitment. They are not only volunteers but friends, supporters and someone to talk to which ensures people return to our services thus improving the health and wellbeing of everyone within our community.

Scottish Wildlife Trust

The Scottish Wildlife Trust would like to thank our volunteers and local group members for their support in protecting wildlife for the future, from inspiring the public through events and talks to practical conservati­on work on local wildlife reserves.

McLaren Leisure Centre

McLaren Leisure in Callander is a community-led organisati­on, our board of volunteer directors are from this community and thanks to these volunteers, we are now in our 20th year. McLaren Leisure wishes to say a huge thank you to all our volunteer directors and supporters.

On the Verge

A huge thank you to all our lovely volunteers who have helped us to sow wildflower­s around Stirling and Clackmanna­nshire this year. A particular­ly big thank you to Stirling’s Unpaid Volunteers organisati­on and Clackmanna­nshire’s Criminal Justice Service for all the hard work they have given us.

Dyslexia Scotland

We are delighted to have been awarded the Investing in Volunteers award recently. Dyslexic children, young people and adults are better supported, more empowered, skilled and resilient thanks to Dyslexia Scotland’s dedicated volunteers – thank you.

Forth Valley Sensory Centre

A huge thank you to all our drivers, gardeners, café assistants, sighted guides, BSL interprete­rs, fundraiser­s and event helpers from Forth Valley Sensory Centre. We couldn’t do what we do without you.

Stirling Street Pastors

Representi­ng churches from across Stirling and Clackmanna­nshire, Stirling Street Pastors can be found caring, listening and helping on Stirling’s city centre streets on a Friday and Saturday night from 10pm until around 4am.

Dunblane Developmen­t Trust

Dunblane Developmen­t Trust thanks its volunteers for all that they do including Dunblane in Bloom’s wonderful floral displays, our environmen­t group’s green spaces, maintenanc­e, footpath upgrading and the dementia café.

Stirling County Cricket Club

Stirling County Cricket Club wish to thank all of our coaches, parents and club members for your efforts in making Stirling CCC a continued success - we couldn’t do it without you and we appreciate all of your hard work (no matter how small the task).

Volunteeri­ng Matters

Volunteeri­ng Matters would like to wish all of our fantastic volunteers with our Handyperso­n Service, a happy Volunteers Week. You dedicate hundreds of hours each year and do so much to assist older people in our community. Thank you so much.

Adult Learning Team
