Coming out in defence

With monotonous inevitability, SNP councillor Allison Laurie holds Scottish Tory MPs in general, and local MP Stephen Kerr in particular, to account for the closure of the Forthside military depot.

However in her haste to instinctively blame the Tories for everything, Councillor Laurie seems to forget that her pacifist independent Scotland would have reduced the country’s defences to a latter day Home Guard and a Fisheries Protection Vessel to patrol our waters. The SNP would have shut down all military facilities in Scotland by now, including Forthside.
