Jazz sounds

-

Audiences in Stirling will have the chance to enjoy some blues-drenched 1920s New Orleans jazz on October 26.

The Dime Notes have unearthed a repertoire of stomps, blues, and forgotten gems of the era from musicians such as Johnny Dodds, Jelly Roll Morton and Red Nichols.

They are fronted by Chris Barber’s long-time clarinetist David Horniblow, an established figure on the London jazz scene, and American pianist Andrew Oliver. Dave Kelbie will be on rhythm guitar and Tom Wheatley on bass.

The show will take place at the Tolbooth with tickets priced at £14/£12.
