Sounds of icon at charity gig

-

A charity concert featuring the timeless and insightful music of Cat Stevens, or Yusuf, will take place at the Tolbooth later this year.

Musician Keith James will perform some of his biggest hits – from Tea for the Tillerman, Firecat, Wild Word and Father and Son to Where do the Children Play.

James is a well-respected and inventive guitarist and singer who specialises in performing intimate, carefully-researched biographic style concerts.

And he will weave the story of Cat Stevens’life, from his early pop career, life-threatening illness and spiritual journey, around a performance of his most memorable songs. Donations from the show, which is part of a UK tour, will go to the UNICEF UK Syrian Children’s Appeal.

The show takes place on October 10, starting at 8pm, and tickets for the event are priced at £15.
