Miners Welfare Social Club Bingo on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8pm. Community council Meets in Bannockbur­n Community Centre on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm. Stirling Christadel­phian Church Bible hour is held on Sunday from 2.15pm with Sunday school at the same time. Flower show This year’s show is on Saturday, September 1, at Allan Church Hall. \Bridge of Allan

Parish Church Sunday worship takes place at the usual time of 11am and will be conducted by Rev Dan Harper. There will be Church in the Corner, creche and coffee fellowship takes place in the Chalmers Hall afterwards. The summer coffee mornings will be held on Saturday from 10am-noon in the Chalmers Hall with proceeds this year split between Maggie’s Centre and the MS Therapy Centre. On Sunday, July 15, the Summer Sunday event is a visit to Summerlee Museum – please meet in the museum car park at 2pm. St Saviour’s Episcopal Church 8am Eucharist, 10am sung Eucharist. Young Church and creche take place in the church hall then join the main service later. Coffee/ tea are served in the church hall after the 10am service. Please note there are no Wednesday Eucharist services during July. On Wednesday, August 1 at 11am a quiet service of Eucharist will be conducted by Rev Canon Dr Alison Peden. Lecropt Kirk Sunday worship commences at 11.30am. No official Sunday school but children are welcome in the church. Welcome team: John Sunday Crozier, Janice McGuinness, Douglas and Karen Shaw. Cornerston­e Community Church Service on Sundays at 10.30am in Wallace High School. Groups for children of all ages. Walking group A free health walk with trained leaders takes place every Monday from 2-2.45pm. Meet at Stirling Bus Station by the ticket office. Also meet at Stirling Community Hospital from 11am. Contact walking@activestir­ling.org.uk. Church of the Holy Rude Sunday’s service at 10am will be conducted by Rev Alan Miller. There will be a concert in the church on Saturday, July 21 at 7.30pm featuring guest soloist spots by Thomas Rintoul on tenor horn and organ solos by Ian Boulter. Music includes the Rondo from Mozart’s 4th Horn Concerto and other well known tunes. Tickets cost £10 (£6 concession­s) for the Organ Appeal Fund and includes refreshmen­ts after the concert. To celebrate the 451st anniversar­y of coronation of King James VI in the church, a lecture entitled “What was John Knox doing in Holy Rude on 29th. July 1567”?, will be given by the eminent historian Jane E Dawson, John Laing Professor Emerita of Reformatio­n History, University of Edinburgh. The lecture takes place on Sunday, July 29 at 7.30pm and admission is by donation programme with proceeds to the Organ Appeal Fund. Refreshmen­ts will be served afterwards. Free parking on the castle esplanade until 10.30pm courtesy of Historic Environmen­t Scotland. St Columba’s Church Sunday service at 11am will be led by Rev Alan McKenzie and visitors to the church are welcome. During the summer months, a range of age appropriat­e activities are provided for young people from babies to teenagers. Coffee Club meets on Thursdays throughout the year at 10.30am. All welcome.
