A Stirling-based curling team is being sponsored by farming co-operative Mole Valley Farmers.

In 2017-18, the company backed Team Jackson, who train at the National Curling Academy at The PEAK, and will continue for the forthcoming season.

Team Jackson - skip Sophie Jackson, Naomi Brown, Mili Smith and Sophie Sinclair - are all from farming backsgrounds and have been together since 2016.

Success has followed with the girls topping the European Junior Curling Tour ranking, winning the World Junior B event and World Junior Curling A Division Championship silver.

The team has a busy schedule ahead including international competition in Canada, USA, Sweden, Switzerland, China and Japan.

Skip Sophie said:“We would like to thank Mole Valley Farmers for its continued sponsorship support for the coming season. Our main aim for the forthcoming season is to represent Team Great Britain at the 2019 World Winter Universiaide Games at Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Another key event is to represent Scotland in the newly created World Curling Cup. We look

forward to participating in the third leg of the tournament in Sweden.”
