Bridge work on schedule
Network Rail say further progress is being made in the Kerse Bridge reconstruction project.
With a series of 21m beams now in place, teams announced this week that they are preparing the bridge deck for the next phase.
They say that a concrete surface will be poured over the beams in the coming days, adding that the work is progressing well and they hope to have the road reopen in October.
The bridge over the railway is being replaced as part of the electrification of the line in the Stirling area.
Network Rail say that this will lead to reduced journey times from Stirling to Glasgow and Edinburgh, increase capacity on peak services and provide longer, faster trains.
The road closure was introduced in April as works to demolish the bridge and build a new one got underway.
