Flower show date

Gardeners are gearing up for Killearn Cottagers’ Horticultural Society’s annual show, which will take place later this month.

The village hall and church will be packed with horticultural exhibits along with the work of artists, photographers, craftspeople and bakers.

Young artists from the primary school in the village will also have their work displayed.

The show will take place on Saturday, August 25, and is open to entrants from Killearn and the surrounding area.

People are asked to take along their exhibits on the Friday between 7.30pm and 9pm or on the morning of the show from 7.30am and 10am.

The halls open on the day from 2pm. The official opening and presentation of prizes will be at 2.30pm and the show closes at 4.30pm.

Teas and homemade cakes will be served in the church hall from 2.45pm.
