Comic Con to return in 2019
Organisers of Stirling’s debut Comic Con event anticipate the event will be back even bigger next year.
More than 2000 comic book fans packed out the Albert Halls at the end of last month for a day of workshops, talks, activities and striking costumes.
Organiser Ian Bonar, of the Big Glasgow Comic Page, was delighted with the way the day went, and overwhelmed by the turnout.
He told the Observer that they had more people attend than expected – with queues outside the venue for most of the day as the hall spent much time at capacity.
He added that they are keen to bring the event back to the city in 2019 and may even have to look for a bigger venue to cope with demand.
The Big Glasgow Comic Page stage Comic Con events throughout the country – including at Loch Lomond.
