You’ve got a Fair Vue to air

-

Comments continue to pour in regarding our `Fair Vue’ campaign and petition regarding cinema prices. People going to the Vue Cinema at Forthside are paying up to £7 more a ticket than those visiting the chain’s cinemas in Aberdeen, Hamilton, Livingston and Inverness. Even prices at the Vue’s cinemas in Edinburgh and Glasgow are cheaper.

The Vue say the differences reflect a “dynamic pricing policy”but many readers are urging others to vote with their feet.

Nicola Atherton posted: “It’s cheaper for us to go to Perth as a family

Adele Lyon: “I don’t go here for that reason. Went to the Macrobert centre and got two tickets for £12.

Liz Kirkhope: “Not going any more as the prices are way too high.”

Andrena Davidson: “Why bother with a petition, they have clearly ripped Stirling off since they opened. Boycott the place . I’ll be heading to Alloa or Macrobert Centre from now on.”

Christine Rigg: “ We sailed from St Malo to Portsmouth and there was a five-screen cinema on the ferry. My husband and son both watched the latest Star Wars film and it was 15 euros for both of them and they were sat in leather seats. What the hell is going on that Vue Cinema can charge that much. It’s disgraceful and I will not be going back.

Philip Vass: “Be grateful Stirling has a cinema. I remember when there wasn’t a proper big chain in Stirling. Perhaps the rents are high hence the ticket prices?”
