Rovers turn on the style with Telfer Cup win
But sub keeper forced to play as striker
Balfron Rovers produced one of their best performances of the season to land the Ian Telfer Cup.
The final score saw luckless Gartocharn come up against a Rovers side who passed the ball with precision and played with genuine pace.

Gartocharn held their own for most of the first half but on 28 minutes Balfron broke the deadlock when a cross from the right wing was headed in by Kevin Meggat and Richie Hailstones.
Meggat claimed the last touch but there was no doubt he netted the second: a 35-yarder which gave keeper Hugh Wyllie no chance.
It was 2-0 and a third came early in the second period, with Meggat heading home for his hat-trick.
With 10 minutes to go manager David Reid, doubling as right back, brought on his only replacement substitute goalie Dougie Adams in a striker’s role - in time to see Calum McLaren score the fourth.
Mark Hailstones completed the scoring with a superb free kick.
