Thornhill gardeners beat the odds to bloom
The gardening season started off with a prolonged winter season which was quickly reversed in May with soaring temperatures, followed in July by a hailstone storm never before seen.
With all this working against them, it was amazing that the 2018 Thornhill Flower Show produced some startling results - proving that faith conquers everything.
Villagers flocked to support the event which was opened officially by local nurse Lynne Bryce who praised the fabulous displays.
The committee thank the judges, stewards and all who helped to make this a success. RESULTS:
