Teenager denies brick and hammer attack

-

A host of buildinags across Stirling are taking part in the Doors Open festival this weekend.

Holy Trinity Church in Stirling will be open to visitors between 10am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday with guided tours on the Sunday plus two special events.

One is `There But Not There’, a striking installation of the silhouetted forms of WW1 soldiers.

Church spokesperson Claire Brims said: “We were offered this exhibition as a consequence of our partnership with SSAFA, the Armed Force Charity. The exhibition connects poignantly with our commemoration of the Armistice.

“Holy Trinity lost so many of its young men during the 1914-1918 war. There can have been no members of the congregation who were unaffected by it.”

SSAFA are also holding a Big Brew in the church hall on Saturday from 11am.

A choral evensong for the feast of St Ninian of Whithorn is being held in the church on Sunday at 6pm, featuring choirs from the surrounding area.
