As part of Doors Open Weekend, the church will be open on Saturday, September 15 from 10am-4pm and on Sunday, September 16 from 1-4 pm (tours will be offered on Sunday. Times are not fixed but each one will last approximat­ely 30 minutes). There will be a display about St Ninian and also silhouette­s made available through the ‘There But Not There’ project, commemorat­ing the end of WWI. Christian Aid exhibition Christian Aid is highlighti­ng the tragedy of the 40 million people who are currently internally displaced, forced out of their homes but still within their own countries. Because they have not crossed a national boundary they do not benefit from the help provided for refugees. An exhibition explaining the issue and highlighti­ng individual case studies is on display this week in the Dunblane Centre. And from Saturday, September 15 until Sunday, September 23 the exhibition in Dunblane Cathedral. It will be on display in Dunblane High School during the week beginning Monday, September 24. Dunblane Cathedral Tonight (Wednesday), there will be a meeting in the halls at 7.30pm for those interested in planning or organising the Christmas Tree Festival. Midweek Service is tomorrow (Thursday) at 11am in the Choir area of the church. All welcome. The deadline for contributi­ons for the October edition of the parish magazine is noon on Friday, September 14 to the office. If you prefer, the editors can be emailed until 5pm on Sunday with your contributi­on. On Saturday, September 15 the funeral for the late Dr Janet Watson will be held in the cathedral at 9.45am. There will be a Full Peal on the bells from 10.30am on Saturday. This will be rung by the Ancient Society of Youths, the premier change ringing society of the City of London. The BB is holding a Family Beetle Drive in the hall on Saturday beginning at 7pm. Sunday worship begins at 10.30am when three visitors from Likhubula in Malawi will take part in the service. There will be an opportunit­y to meet and welcome them personally in the hall after the service when a table talk has been organised. Soup will be served. All groups of Cathedral Kids meet. The first meeting of the kirk session will be held on Tuesday, September 18 at 7.30pm in the main hall. Elders can gather beforehand for a light supper together at 6.45pm.

There is also a visit to Forthbank Care Home once a month at 2pm on Tuesdays. Young@Heart ladies gather at 2pm in the small hall on the first Wednesday of the month.
