Gordon’s Open win

to equalise deep into stoppage time. Gus MacPherson’s men prevailed on penalties and will head for Forthbank on a high.

Stirling have struggled on home turf this season, losing to both Clyde and Peterhead in Ladbrokes League 2. In fact, you have to go back to February for the last home win for Dave Mackay’s men when Clyde were defeated 2-1.

The Binos were excellent in their last outing away to Elgin on September 1, notching up a 3-0 victory at Borough Briggs thanks to goals from Cammy Thomson, Peter MacDonald and Jordan Allan.

Albion’s work rate was a feature of the success at Elgin but they may find Queen’s Park a tougher proposition. The Glasgow club have lost just once in League 2 this season - away to Annan - and MacPherson is one of the longestserving bosses in the SPFL, having been in charge since January 2014.

Stirling and Queen’s Park last met in season 2015/16 when the Hampden side held the upper hand, winning 2-1 at Forthbank and 1-0 at Hampden, with the other two matches drawn.

Admission is £13 for adults, £9 for seniors & students, £5 for U16s and free for U16s. Kick-off is the usual 3pm.

A number of the club’s younger players have been farmed out on loan until January, although they will still be able to play for the reserves.

Bradley Rodden and Aaron Neill have both joined Wishaw while Justin Watson has moved to Petershill. Mitchell MacDonald has signed for Johnstone Burgh and Brooklyn Mair has joined Kennoway Star Hearts. Reserve team captain Callum MacDonald has signed for Lowland League side Cumbernauld Colts.
