Buttercup Cafe This new cafe meets in Allan Church Community Hall every Monday at 1.45-3.30pm. This is a new community venture, helping people and their carers with socialisin­g and activities. It particular­ly targets the memory and wellbeing of members of our society, and we look forward to seeing you there. Murrayfiel­d United Free Church The Men’s Connect Group meets today (Wednesday) at 2pm. The Stein Square group meets tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30 pm. The “Tea in the Park” walking group meets in the car park of Ladywell Park at 2.30pm on Friday for a stroll round the park, a seat, a cuppa and a chat. Sunday’s service will be led by Rev Gary Barclay at 10.30am. The welcome team is Mary Scott and Joan Martin; the offering team is Elizabeth Hastings and John Martin. The children’s club is off next Tuesday, September 25. Advance notice of our Harvest Service on October 7 when members and friends are invited to bring along food cans to help with Start Up Stirling’s attempt to beat the current world record for the longest row of cans of food. 45.000 are needed, and we hope our “Can Harvest” will help them reach their target. After the big count, the cans will be distribute­d.
