Christian Aid exhibition Christian Aid is highlighti­ng the tragedy of the 40 million people who are currently internally displaced, forced out of their homes but still within their own countries. Because they have not crossed a national boundary they do not benefit from the help provided for refugees. An exhibition explaining the issue and highlighti­ng individual case studies is on display until Sunday, September 23 in Dunblane Cathedral. It will be on display in Dunblane High School during the week beginning Monday, September 24. Senior Citizens The group’s AGM is on Tuesday, September 25 in the Supper Room, Victoria Hall 2pm. More info on Facebook. Boys’ Brigade Anchor Boys have now started the new session and all boys in P1-P3 will be made welcome for lots of fun activities every week. Meetings are on Wednesdays from 6.15-7.15pm in the Cathedral Hall. Boys should be accompanie­d by a parent to enrol if they haven’t already been signed up. Junior Section (P4P6, Fridays 6.30-8pm) and Company Section (P7-S6, Fridays 7.45-10pm) are already underway and continue to welcome new members each week. This Friday, the boys will enjoy a visit from Akimu, Ruth and Prichard, visitors from Likhubula, Malawi. On Saturday, September 22, it’s the BB Coffee Morning from 10am until noon in the Cathedral Hall. Donations of home baking, cake and candy and raffle prizes will be gratefully received. Entry is £2.50 (adults) or £1.50 (children). Hot breakfast rolls will also be on sale for an additional charge. All proceeds from the coffee morning will go to general BB funds. Thanks to everyone who came to our Beetle Drive on Saturday for Project Malawi. The sum of £1,020 was raised. Tickets are now available for our future Project Malawi 2019 fundraisin­g events. A gin-tasting night is being held on Saturday October 6 at the Braeport Centre (7pm); tickets are £20 per person. This is followed by a Whisky Tasting night on Saturday November 3 (same time/venue) and a Family Race Night on Saturday November 17 in the Victoria Hall.
