Free business event
Businesses will be able to learn about selling internationally, growing their overseas markets and issues related to Brexit planning at a free event next month.
Organised by the Forth Valley International Trade Partnership, attendees will hear from a range of firms that have grown their business internationally and take part in a panel discussion with business leaders.
Throughout the morning, there will also be discussions about the positive impact exporting can have on Scottish firms and how to plan effectively for the UK leaving the European Union. Forth Valley International Trade Forum will be held at Airth Castle Hotel on October 4, from 8.30-10.30am.
It is hosted by the Forth Valley International Trade Partnership, a joint initiative between Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire councils, Business Gateway Falkirk, Business Gateway and Scottish Development International.
Gillian Timmons, Business Gateway, said: “Digital technologies mean it’s easier than ever for businesses to grow internationally, but expanding into these markets is still a challenge and businesses need to be fully prepared before making the leap.
“This event will give business owners an insight into the opportunities available and give them the know-how in order to sell their products and services to international customers.
“Afterwards, attendees will be well placed to follow up with their Business Gateway adviser to access international research support.”
A programme of events and workshops will also be launched that day. This was drawn up in response to the results of a region wide survey focusing on the issues and opportunities of international trade opportunities.
