The All Age Services will take place on the first Sunday of the month at 5pm in the hall when we will eat a light meal, Ladies Bible Study group has restarted in the manse. All ladies welcome. Please gather in the choir area. The funeral for the late Miss Margaret Wilkie takes place on Friday at 11am. The dedication service for the Boys’ Brigade begins at 7pm in the Cathedral. On Saturday evening the new session for the Arts Guild opens with the Scottish poet Kenneth Steven reading some of his works, with musical interludes by Elinor Evans, clarsach. On Sunday we celebrate Harvest Thanksgivi­ng at 10.30am. We would welcome donations for a collection for StartUp Stirling Foodbank. Donations of tins of soup, canned meat and fish, UHT milk, jars of sauce and vegetables can be brought to the service. All groups of Cathedral Kids will meet. Following the service tea and coffee will be served in the hall, where the Fairtrade Stall will also be open. The Joint Guild Dedication Service takes place in the

Cathedral at 7pm on Monday, October 1. The Bible Study group meets on Tuesday at 7pm in the halls.

ciation Names and payments for members wishing to go on an outing to Falkirk Town Hall on Thursday, November 1 to see The Bohemians perform ‘Crazy for You’ will taken at the meeting on September 19. Cost is £15 for members and £18 for nonmembers. This includes transport. Payment will be taken at the October meeting for the outing to the panto in December. Cost £20 for members and £23 for non-members. Menstrie United Free Church This Sunday, Morning Worship at 10am will be conducted by the Minister, Rev Jason Lingiah. We will begin a new series in Mark’s Gospel. Last week, at the Harvest Thanksgivi­ng service, the new lectern was dedicated and just over £50 was raised from the retiring offering for the work of Friends Internatio­nal in Stirling for Christian work amongst internatio­nal students. The next Prayer Meeting and Bible Study is on Tuesday, October 2, at 10.30am in the church. Please note that future meetings will now take place on Tuesdays.
