The ground-floor flat where Lynn lived is one of six in a block. In the days fol­low­ing her death, the path out­side the prop­erty was cor­doned off and guarded by po­lice of­fi­cers. Flo­ral trib­utes were left out­side.

Neigh­bours spoke of their shock and dis­may.

One, who asked not to be named, said: “I would of­ten see her out walk­ing her dog. The neigh­bour­hood is in shock, it’s such a tragedy.”

Po­lice are con­tin­u­ing to treat Philip Os­borne’s death as un­ex­plained.

A Po­lice Scot­land spokesman pre­vi­ously said: “Around 3.55pm on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 28, the body of a 35-year-old woman was found within a prop­erty on Green­side Street, Coat­bridge.

“This death is be­ing treated as sus­pi­cious and of­fi­cers were fol­low­ing a pos­i­tive line of in­quiry.

“Around 2.50pm on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 29, a 36-year-old man was found dead within an ad­dress in Til­li­coul­try.

“His death is cur­rently be­ing treated as un­ex­plained and in­quiries are on­go­ing.

“A full re­port will be for­warded to the procu­ra­tor fis­cal.

“Of­fi­cers are not look­ing for any­one else in con­nec­tion with the death of the 35-year-old woman.”

Mean­while, trib­utes to Miss Forde were made on Face­book, with friends shar­ing im­ages of her. One wrote: ‘So sad, RIP Lynn, thoughts are with your fam­ily and friends at this sad tragic time.’

An­other posted: ‘Gor­geous girl and gor­geous per­son.’
