Run will keep you in good Elf

-

A fun Elf Family Run is set to raise funds for Maggie’s Forth Valley.

The event takes place on Saturday, December 1 on a 1.5km course in Larbert Woods near Forth Valley Royal Hospital and the Maggie’s Centre.

Sponsored by Falkirk firm Alexander Dennis Ltd, it will raise cash for the charity, which provides free practical and emotional support for people living with cancer.

It doesn’t matter if you run, walk or skip the 1.5 miles to the finish line – they just want you to have fun and help raise vital funds for the centre.

Tickets cost £15 per adult and £10 per child with fives and under going free. Dogs are also welcome.

Arrival and registration is at 10am with the Elf Warm Up starting at 10.45am and The Elf Family Fun Run starting at 11am. Tickets are available on Eventbrite or via the Maggie’s Forth Valley facebook page, or give the fundraising team a call on 01324 868078.

Centre fundraising manager Cristina Pouso said: “This is our first ever Elf Family Fun Run and we’re so excited to be giving people the chance to take part in something fun which also raises vital funds for our centre.”

Built on the grounds of FVRH, Maggie’s Forth Valley is a warm and welcoming place, with qualified professionals on hand to offer support. It relies on voluntary donations.
