Students receive degrees in Oman

Fifty graduates are celebratin­g their achievemen­ts after receiving their degrees from Stirling University during a special ceremony at Muscat College in Oman.

Senior members of staff from the university travelled to the Middle Eastern country for the conferment of degrees across accountanc­y, business and computing courses, delivered in partnershi­p with Muscat College.

Professor Neville Wylie, Deputy Principal (Internatio­nalisation) travelled to Muscat to celebrate the students’ achievemen­ts, along with Dr Mario Kolberg, Associate Dean (Internatio­nalisation) for the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and Dr Andrew Perchard, Academic Partnershi­p Director (Muscat) at Stirling Management School.

The ceremony saw 27 students graduating in subjects including computing science, business studies, accountanc­y, business computing and a Diploma in Higher Education.

In January, the university introduced an MSc Management to its programme at Muscat.

And the the first cohort of students is due to graduate next year.

In 2019, Stirling will launch another two programmes.

One is MSc Big Data and MSc Data Science for Business. They recently received approval from the Omani Ministry of Education.
