Dunblane Cathedral The Congregati­onal Cathedral Clean is on tonight (Wednesday) in preparatio­n for Advent and Christmas. As the old adage says: “Many hands make light work”, so , if you are able, please do come along to join in with youngsters from the youth groups and older members of the congregati­on to add a bit of shine to the cathedral. All materials provided, as are refreshmen­ts afterwards. Starting time is 7pm; come for as long or as short a time as you can. Midweek service will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at the usual time of 11amk. Please gather in the choir area. The next meeting of the Music and Memories group is on Friday, November 23 at 2pm in the hall. All are welcome to come along for a sing-song and some tea or coffee. On Saturday, November 24 the Guild is holding its Christmas Bazaar. This is the Guild’s main fundraisin­g event of the year. There will be lots of stalls, along with tea and coffee. Morning worship on Sunday begins as usual at 10.30am. Being the last Sunday of the month, the service will be followed by a short celebratio­n of Holy Communion in the choir. All sections of Cathedral Kids meet. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall at the close of worship. At 7.30pm, the Rosenethe Singers present their concert of Mozart’s Mass in C Minor and Haydn’s Nelson Mass. The memorial service for the late Miss Gerry Goddard will be held in the cathedral on Monday, November 26 at noon. Guild meets in the halls on Monday, November 26, 2pm for a drop-In session. Bazaar Dunblane Cathedral Guild’s Christmas Bazaar is on Saturday, November 24 10am-noon in Dunblane Cathedral Halls. Stalls, tea/ coffee, baking, cards, toys and bric-a-brac.

A planning meeting for this group is being held today (Wednesday) at 2pm led by Deaconess Jean Porter. This gathering alternates with the 1-2-1 Group which meets for bible study and designed for anyone who might wish to become a member of the church. Tonight (Wednesday) the Explorers meet at 4.30-5.30pm and the Super Group at 6.30pm. There will be a family church planning meeting led by Deaconette Claire tomorrow (Thursday) at 2pm. The next Presbytery Prayer Promoters gathering is in the side aisle of the church on Saturday, November 24 from 10am-noon. Worship on Sunday begins at 11am after the reading of the intimation­s.
