TEA’S COMPANY

The community cafe project is open to all local residents to enjoy a free cuppa, slice of cake, some company, conversati­on and music every Monday from 2-4pm in the Honeyman Hall at Bridge of Allan Parish Church. The community initiative is supported by Bridge of Allan Community Council, Bridge of Allan Parish Church and Bridge of Allan Co-op and will be hosted by a team of locally recruited volunteers who will guarantee a warm welcome to all.

WALKING GROUPS

HEALTH WALK

ROCK’N’REEL

Fitness classes for over-60s with routines set to Scottish/contempora­ry music on Tuesday in Bridge of Allan Parish Church 2-3pm. Suitable for wheelchair users. Cost £4, including coffee. Call Tricia Chillas on 07740 676639.

YOUNG AT HEART

Low-impact dance fitness classes for ages 50-plus are on Mondays in Bridge of Allan Parish Church Hall from 2-2.45pm and Friday 11-11.45am. Young at Heart Plus, a less energetic class (60-plus) is available on Mondays 2-2,45pm. Call Janice on 07565 182259.

BRIDGE OF ALLAN BOWLING CLUB

This week’s joker winner was Jas Robertson. Club facilities, including a fully stocked bar, are available for hire for parties, functions etc. Phone 07771 641670. Club competitio­ns are well under way. The next round deadline is July 21 and members are reminded that they should aim to complete ties as soon as possible as the green is being used by external organisati­ons on a few occasions during July.

ST SAVIOUR’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH

Work is ongoing on the roof so please note that venues for services have changed - There will be no 8am Sunday Eucharist during July. Sunday 9.15am Sung Eucharist in Bridge of Allan Parish Church. Coffee/tea served in St Saviour’s Hall after the 9.15am Eucharist. There will be no Wednesday Eucharist during July.

LECROPT KIRK

Sunday worship commences at 11.30am No Sunday school but children are welcome to church. Door duty as per rota. Joint evening service with St Blane’s in the Free Church in Beech Road, Dunblane, starting at 6.30pm Everyone is most welcome. Saturday afternoon teas continue in the hall from 2-4pm. Cost £5 per person.
