This was a deserved equaliser but right on half time Braehead capitalised on poor defending at a corner to go 2-1 up at the break.

Back came Riverside again and their man of the match Jamie Cully burst from midfield after a superb move to equalise in the 50th minute.

Chances were being created at both ends and Riverside took the lead for the first time on 65 minutes when Doyle cut in from the wing to shoot into the far corner.

Braehead, however, refused to lie down and Dale Mathers equalised in the 82nd minute.

The last part of the match was all action, again with chances missed at both ends and Purcell had a great chance to win the game for Riverside while Braehad also had opportuniteis.

On to penalties and the first 12 were netted in the shoot out before Riverside missed. The Braehead player kept his nerve to fire them into the second round.
