SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCE

Classes are held on Wednesdays in the Memorial Hall from 7.30pm until 9.30pm. For more details telephone Allan at 01877 385236. Fun and gentle exercise. All welcome.

ST MARY’S CONCERT

The next concert at St Mary’s is on Sunday, October 20 at 3pm and features The Atholl Duo - Lee Holland (flute) and Glynn Forrest (percussion/marimba). The duo are successful performers in their own right and passionate about promoting and playing chamber music. Lee performs and works with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra of Scottish Opera and Glynn has enjoyed involvemen­t in projects with Glasgow New Music Expedition, Rednote Ensemble, the Pavel Haas Quartet, and Auricle ensemble. LUNCH

Lunch for senior citizens of Strathard has been arranged for Tuesday, October 29 at 12.30pm in the Forth Inn. Primary 7 pupils from Aberfoyle school will be present and the theme will be Halloween . Invitation­s will be dropped through your door, however should you not receive one and feel you are eligible please contact Janet or Morna and state your preferred choice of fish and chips or steak pie. If you require transport please let them know. Look forward to seeing you.

GUILD

The Guild will meet on Monday, October 21 at 2pm in Church House when there will be a speaker from the project Malawi fruits. Malawi crafts will also be on sale. A warm welcome is extended. Care Home, Lomond Terrace. Anyone is welcome to come along and sing favourite tunes. Volunteers required to donate just a few hours per week to help run the sessions. Bingo is back to its original venue at the bowling club every Friday from 8pm.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE

West Stirlingsh­ire Friends of Strathcarr­on Hospice are holding their annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday, November 9 from 10am-2.30pm in the McLintock Hall. All welcome to support this worthwhile cause and enjoy stalls, raffle, tombola. Tea/coffee are included in the adult £3 admission.

COFFEE MORNING

DANCERCISE

Over-50s dance-based fitness classes on Wednesdays from 10-11am in Edmonstone Hall. Cost £5.50. This promises to be a fabulous evening of words and music described as ‘Somethings Old, Somethings New.’ It’s on Saturday, October 26 in Braco Village Hall , doors open 7pm. There will be a bar.
