SENIOR CITIZENS ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DINNER

The annual dinner is being held at the Rob Roy Motel on Monday, December 9 at 6pm for 6.30pm. Transport can be arranged. Anyone requiring transport please contact a member of Strathard Community Council. Where possible organisers will arrange for home uplifts, however there will be the following uplift points - Kinlochard, Limecraig Avenue, Manse Road, The Garage all at 5.30pm. in Kippen Church House. The instructor will provide further details.

CAPPUCCINO CHATTER

All welcome at Cappuccino Chatter in Church House on Wednesdays from 10.30-11.30am.

OVER 60S CHRISTMAS DINNER

Preparatio­ns are underway for the dinner which will take place on Monday, December 2 at 2pm. Invitation­s are being delivered by volunteers to homes this week. Those on the outskirts of the village may collect an invitation from McNicoll’s shop. Replies with menu choice and transport requiremen­ts are due back for November 23. Skinner’s are once again providing the festive fare and those eligible to attend are assured of a warm welcome at this very happy community event. Volunteers who have previously assisted in the hall or provided transport, or wish to volunteer for the first time, are requested to contact Mary on 01786 870202 or Tracy on 01786 870385 with your availabili­ty.

AMAZING WOMEN BIBLE STUDY

A new Bible Study with Bible Teacher Angela MacKenzie is being held at Gribloch, Kippen on Monday, December 2. This is an informal Bible Study (no previous bible experience or knowledge necessary). Come as you are, expand your horizons. There are drinks and nibbles from 7pm, Bible Study 7.30-8.30pm. CANCER RESEARCH

House to house collecting for the 2020 Dr. Railton Scott Cancer Research UK fund raising appeal in Kippen will begin in January. Collectors are required for some areas. Anyone who can help should contact Naomi Hirst 01786 870283.

SWI NEWS

The next meeting will take place in the Reading Room at 7.15 pm on Wednesday, November 20 when Kevin Clark will give an illustrate­d talk on his Arctic Travels. The competitio­n is an autumn arrangemen­t. All welcome.

READING ROOM JUMBLE SALE

Organisers would like to thank everyone who supported the recent jumble sale in aid of the Reading Room. More than £700 was raised.

CHRISTMAS MARKET

Kippen Playgroup and Toddlers Christmas Market is on Saturday, November 30 from 1-4pm in the village hall. Adults £2.50, concession­s £1.50, child £1, including Santa’s Grotto and tea/ coffee with home baking. Donations of home baking would be gratefully received on November 29-30 at the hall. The raffle, with more than 60 prizes, will be drawn at 3pm. Tickets cost £1 or £5/ book, are available from McNicolls or Rhubarb Lime.
