We recorded our lowest temperatur­e of the season so far minus 6.4 Centigrade on Tuesday, November 19.

Temperatur­e-wise it was a week of two halves with a cold start giving way to mild and drizzly conditions during the second part of the week.

On both Monday, November 18, and Tuesday, November 19, the average daily temperatur­e was below freezing, at minus 2.2 Centigrade and minus 2.1 Centigrade respective­ly.

The maximum temperatur­e reached 9.2 Centigrade on Saturday, November 23, with a low of minus 6.4 Centigrade on Tuesday, November 19.

The maximum daily rainfall recorded was 4.6millimetr­es on Saturday, November 23, with a weekly total of 9.4 millimetre­s.

Maximum wind gusts topped 18mph on Thursday, November 21.

Looking at the week ahead, in what looks like being a reverse of last week, this week will be mild and wet until mid-week before turning colder with overnight frosts as we approach the end of the week and into the weekend.

During the colder half of the week the air flow will come down from the north and it could bring with it some wintry showers during the weekend and beginning of next week. Wind will generally be light.

The earliest sunrise will be at 8.15am with the earliest sunset at 3.44pm.

Did You know: Our highest recorded wind speed in the month of November was 48.3mph on November 12, 2015. This year November has been relatively calm with our highest speed recorded so far only 28.8mph.
