MILTON .......................................................................... 2 FINNART ......................................................................... 3

A goal in the last seconds of the match denied Milton a point.

Finnart started the game looking the hungrier team and almost took an early lead but were denied by Milton goalkeeper Simpson.

The Milton players looked off the pace, with the only danger coming from them down the right flank where Mitchell was causing the visitors problems.

Finnart deservedly took the lead with a shot that appeared to take a deflection beyond Simpson.

McWilliams went close, as did Preston, but Milton looked lethargic and second best to the slick moving Finnart.

The visitors went two up with Milton at sixes and sevens.

The home side were thrown a lifeline on the halftime whistle when Preston won the ball and slipped it to MacWilliams who played in Mitchell who fired it in to the net.

Early in the second half a bad mistake by Finnart allowed MacWilliams to collect the ball and fire it into the net.

Milton were playing better football and Finnart looked rattled. Preston had a great chance to put Milton in front but the keeper saved well.

Wardrobe put in a brilliant cross but no takers in the box. MacWilliams hit a shot that went narrowly past the post, then in the final act of play, Finnart had a corner kick the ball was headed across the goal with no one marking the player and the ball was headed into the net to give Finnart all three points.
