BANNOCKBUR­N BUTTERCUP CAFE

Helpers/volunteers required at the cafe in Allan Church Community Hall every Monday 2pm- 3.45pm. If you can help in any way, just pop in for a tea/coffee and ask to speak to Olive or Margaret. This is a dementia friendly well-being community café, helping people and their carers with socialisin­g and activities. The cafe is open to all members of the community with or without ailments/conditions. There is dominoes, cards and musical bingo.

MURRAYFIEL­D UF CHURCH

The Wednesday Connect Groups meet today at 2pm and 7.30pm. Sunday’s service will be led by Lorna Duncan at 10.30am. The welcome team is Joan Martin and Mary Scott; the offering team is Elizabeth Hastings and John Martin.

LADYWELL CHURCH

The service on Sunday at 11.15am will be led by the minister Rev Liz Robertson. All children welcome to Sunday School which is held during the service. Team Four will be on duty. Please join in the hall for soup after the service.

BANNOCKBUR­N HOUSE

2020 promises to be exciting for all at Bannockbur­n House, starting off with a new event, Bannockbur­n House Illuminati­ons, which will take place on Saturday, February 29. Tickets cost £10 and are available on Eventbrite. The ticket price includes a buffet and musical entertainm­ent. Forth Valley College Ready for Work students will be taking part in youth work sessions at the house over the next four weeks. Activities will include creating giant games such as Jenga, Connect 4 and draughts to be used at future events, and working with reclaimed wood to build a marquee. The trust is currently advertisin­g for volunteers to join the existing team. If you have time on your hands and think you would enjoy volunteeri­ng, contact volunteer co – ordinator Ross Caldwell on events@bannockbur­nhouse.scot.

ALLAN CHURCH

Service on Sunday at 11.15am will be led by Iain Armstrong with Welcome Team 4 on duty. All welcome. Sunday school takes place in the church hall after the start of the service. Creche available. If you wish your child / children to attend please speak to Kirsty MacGowan (Sunday school superinten­dent). On Tuesday, January 28, Coffee Club is at 10am till 11.30am. Team 3 on duty, coffee/ tea and home baking. All welcome. Craft Club on Wednesday, January 29 at 2pm till 4pm. Bring your own skills and share them with others. If you would like to join for a cuppa and a blether just to find out about the club then feel free to visit. Help with digital hymnary / power point service presentati­ons – speak to Lesley or Douglas. Help required to assist at the Tuesday coffee mornings – speak to coffee club members or Margaret Tough.
