CAMBUSBARRON ROVERS ................... 2 DOUNE CASTLE ....................................... 6

Doune hit top form to record an emphatic derby win as an impressive second half display sealed all three points for an impressive Castle side.

They came from a goal behind to lead at the break and even after Rovers equalsied, Doune pulled away with four secondhalf goals.

Chris Hendry headed Cambusbarron into a 1-0 lead after 12 minutes when he powered an unstoppable header past a helpless Callum Davison.

Doune equalised six minutes later when Lukasz Duszynski fired a corner into the heart of a crowded area and Ryan Duncanson met it perfectly to bullet home a header from 10 yards for 1-1.

The visitors edged into a 2-1 lead after 22 minutes as Alan Inglis shielded the ball from two defenders before turning to hammer home from 14 yards.

Doune protected their lead resolutely until the break with the Castle defence denying the home forwards any clear opportunities but Rovers restumed in determined fashion to equalise a minute after the restart.

An inviting cross into the box came from the left and for the second time in the contest, Hendry leapt above the Doune defence to direct a strong header high into the net for 2-2.

Robbie Hurst made it 3-2 after 53 minutes. Inglis sent him clear on goal and as keeper Greg McGuinness advanced, Hurst delicately nudged the ball wide of the keeper to nestle into the far corner.

Two minutes later it should have been 4-2.Sean Wilbert reached the ball ahead of McGuinness and dinked an inviting cross towards the unguarded goal. Chris Macdonald met the ball on the run but saw his glancing header slip inches wide.

Doune were not to be denied and wne further ahead after 59 minutes. Wilbert sped forward to drill the ball across goal and Macdonald pounced to stab a firsttime shot from eight yards into the net.

Inglis then curled a 30-yard free kick over the defensive wall but saw the ball cannon off the right-hand post and diverted wide.

Cambusbarron refused to give up and in 83 muintues, came close to scoring with an effort which crashed back off the face of the crossbar.

Two minutes later, Doune sealed the points with an opportunist strike from Wilbert.

Andy Innes launched a long throw deep into the box and Wilbert challenged a defender for the high ball.

When it broke loose, he calmly slammed the ball home.

A buoyant Doune grabbed a sixth goal after 88 minutes when Duszynski slipped the ball forward to Robbie Hurst who delicately lofted the ball over McGuinness.
