Charity banks on TSB help
The team at TSB in Stirling and their customers raised £1,226.23 for their local charity partner Townbreak last year.
The sum brings the total amount raised to more than £3,500 since the partnership began in September 2017.
TSB Stirling organised numerous fundraising events such as cake sales, a sponsored exercise bike workout, raffles and also knitted Christmas stockings for customers to donate. The money raised will provide training and quality services via committed volunteers, to support people living with dementia and their carers.
The charity aims to liaise with other agencies, both statutory and voluntary, to help support people with dementia to remain in their own home and community within the Stirling area. They provide safe, friendly, stimulating environments where people with dementia can gain confidence, selfrespect, dignity and better quality of life. They encourage the social inclusion of people living with dementia by providing a day club facility, befriending service, cognitive stimulation therapy, coffee clubs and friendship groups. Townbreak educate and train volunteers in understanding the issues relating to dementia and provide information and support to carers.
