Football team out to tackle cancer

-

Lookers Audi in Stirling have put together their own football team in a bid to help people living with cancer.

The team from the motor showroom are taking part in this year’s Forth Valley national business five-a-side tournament in aid of Maggie’s, the charity which provides free practical and emotional support for people living with cancer.

The tournament takes place on Tuesday, March 3 at Stirling Sports Village, Forthbank Stadium and The Peak.

Lookers Audi after-sales manager John Burrows said:“As a company we feel it’s important to support local charities doing great work that resonate with our staff and customers.

“We knew about the great support Maggie’s Forth Valley provides to those affected by cancer across our community and therefore it made sense to have them as our chosen charity for this charity football tournament.”

Centre fundraising manager at Maggie’s Forth Valley Cristina Pouso said:“I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Lookers Audi. Their efforts will allow us to continue to develop our unique, high quality programme of support to help people with cancer and their family and friends across Forth Valley.

“We’ll be there cheering them on from start to finish.”
