Heartfelt tributes have been left at the scene of a crash where a Buchlyvie mum-offour was killed.

Mum-of-four Amanda Boag, 39, died in the collision on the A811 near Arnprior at around 11.15am on Tuesday, February 25.

Mrs Boag had been driving a Volkswagen Golf westbound when it collided with a gas tanker.

It’s understood that Mrs Boag had been heading home and the tanker had been heading east and had attempted to take the turn-off for Kippen when both cars collided.

Emergency services attended and Mrs Boag was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tanker wasn’t seriously injured and the road remained closed for several hours as officers conducted their investigation.

Nobody has yet been charged in connection with the incident.

Following the crash, Sergeant David Ross of Forth Valley Road Policing said: “We’re appealing to anyone who witnessed this or has any dash-cam footage to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 1088 of February 25.”

Floral tributes have since been left at the crash scene by shattered relatives and friends.

Ivy Herbert posted: “I’m utterly devastated with grief for the loss of my most beautiful and precious friend Amanda Cartledge Boag who was more than just a friend to me, she was more like my sister. We were next-door neighbours since we were about eight-years-old, we went through high school together and we continued to stay good friends and there for each other through thick and thin. You couldn’t have asked for a better friend.”

She was also described as ‘the most sincere person you could ever meet’.

Cousin Laura-anne Mcroberts said: “With big family comes big love but it also comes with big loss. Loss that’s so painful to comprehend.”
