Caley Marts sold 97 cattle comprising of 73 bullocks, heifers and young bulls and 24 OTM cattle.

Prime heifers sold to 240p pkg for a Limousin from M Jack, Carriston, Star of Markinch purchased by D Campbell and Son, Butchers, Callander and to £1531 for a Limousin from Ross Farms, Wester Middleton, Gorebridge purchased by H Black, Butchers, Stirling.

Prime bullocks sold to 240p pkg for a Limousin from AA and J Brand, Nether Myres, Auchtermuc­hty purchased by T Johnston, Butchers, Falkirk and to £1574 for the same beast.

Bulls (over 16 months) sold to 202p pkg for a Limousin from A Orr, Lomondmuir, Wester Balgeddie and to £1430 from W Dick, Mains of Throsk, Throsk

Male OTMs sold to £1400 on two occasions from A Kennedy and G Paterson, Barbeth, Cumbernaul­d and to 154p for a Limousin from T and E Tod, Nether Longford, West Calder.

Caley Marts had forward 332 store cattle.

Bullocks averaged 204p per kg selling to 263p for a pen from Ardtalla Estate, Isle of Islay and to £1170 for a pen of Limousins from J and J Brown, Loanrigg, Slamanan.

Heifers averaged 201p per kg selling to 236p for a pen of Charolais from J and D Mitchell, Offers, Gargunock and to £990 for an Aberdeen Angus from M McArthur, Homeston, Campbeltow­n.

Black and Whites averaged 184p per kg selling to 215p per kg from S and E Parker, Balgown, Stranraer and to £600 from Avoncrook Farm, Westfield, Bathgate.

Caley Marts sold 1311 prime hoggets, ewes and tups at their weekly sale.

All classes of hoggets sharper on the week with the overall average levelling out at 194.1p plus 29p on the week. Top price of the day went to J Smith, Bankhead for a cracking 48kg Beltex at £125. Top price per kg went to Doune Farms for outstandin­g 42kg Beltex at 283p.

Heavy ewes averaged £112.34 (+36.87) and sold to £150 for a pair of thumping Suffolks from Mrs I McMillan, Eorabus, Islay. Light ewes averaged £81.02 (+33.26) and sold to £85 for Blackface Ewes from H Currie, Grianan Croft, Islay. Cast rams averaged £107.14 and sold to £132 for Texels from JAC Stewart, Kininmonth, Ceres.

Dairy bullocks (43) averaged 157.80p to 187.10p per kg for a 465kg MOX from Meikle Camoquhill, and £1065 for a 684kg BFX from Broompark.

Heifers (490)averaged 205.64p to 241.40p per kg for a 292kg LimX from Gateside, and to £1260 for a 598kg CHX from Templeton.

Young bulls (30)averaged 168.82p to 212.40p per kg for a SimX from Knockallan, and to £1120 for a AAX from Mosston Muir.
