Claudia’s creations help NHS

-

A Balfron artist is selling her paintings to raise cash for the NHS during the coronavirus crisis.

Claudia Duncan is selling off her latest creations with all proceeds going directly to the NHS.

Claudia and her husband Ewen run the art4you Scotland studio based in Killearn. The German-born artist has already sold off paintings which have so far raked in more than £800 for the NHS.

Purchasers can head to Claudia’s website and select a painting where Claudia has given suggested donation amounts. Interested parties must then make a donation to NHS Charities Together and send her confirmation of their donation before their selected painting is dispatched.

She said“Since lockdown I’ve started painting a bit more. We had to close the studio to students and I had a bit more time on my hands. It’s tough, we have been in touch with all of our students throughout.

“I decided I’d sell the paintings and give all the money to the NHS. I’ve put them up with a suggested price to donate and some people have actually paid more than the suggested price.”

The first of Claudia’s pieces was purchased by a buyer in her native Germany.

Claudia and Ewen opened the art4you Scotland studio, based at Oakwood Garden Centre, Killearn, in 2018. Before that they were based at Ballochruin Farm near Balfron Station. All classes and workshops have been cancelled until further notice as a result of the global pandemic.
