Rev Stuart Sharp from bringing worship videos but there is a way round the gremlins in the system. One of Stuart’s songs is “Count Your Blessings” which he describes as a “golden oldie”. No matter what life’s difficulti­es are there is a blessing now or just round the corner. Bible Reading Plan for the week commencing May 10 is Matthew: 27 and 28; Acts 1 and 2; Deuteronom­y 5-14 and Job 6-10. Stay at home, keep safe but be ready to help any neighbour in distress. - pages 11-25 (Luke 4:14-9:62), Day 3 (Wednesday) - pages 25-33 (Luke 10:113:20); Day 4 (Thursday) - pages 33-43 (Luke 13:21-19:48) and Day 5 (Friday) - pages 43-54 (Luke 20:1-24:43). The Community Bible Experience reads through the whole New Testament in about eight weeks at about 12 pages per day, five days per week (60 pages per week). It is not an in-depth bible study, but a broad overview of all the texts in a certain order beginning with Luke and Acts together followed by some of letters before reading Matthew from Week 5. Readings for Week 2 starting (Monday, May 11) are: Day 6 (Monday) - pages 55-64 (Acts 1:1-6:15); Day 7 (Tuesday) - pages 64-75 (Acts 7:1-12:25); Day 8 (Wednesday) - pages 75-86 (Acts 13:1-19:20); Day 9 (Thursday) - pages 87-102 (Acts 19:2028:31) and Day 10 (Friday) -pages 103-115 (Thessaloni­ans 1 and 2). Weekly people can gather on Zoom for a chat about what they have read. Rev Ellen will set up a Wednesday coffee and chat on Zoom from 10.30am and a Sunday Zoom from 7.30pm. For those who would rather just hear Ellen’s thoughts and then maybe email her their thoughts, she will do a short video for You Tube and will email out links and share on Facebook.
