season signed up again and that gives us a great base to build from.

“I’d like to stress to the fans that these deals have not put the club in danger, even if next season is delayed for a while due to the virus.

“Myself and James Creaney have a list of players we are looking at as potential signings and there are likely to be a lot of players available this summer.

“As always, it’s a case of trying to get the right balance in the squad and hopefully we can add one or two gems.

“We’re probably looking at half a dozen new signings coming in and we will also look to include a couple of players from the U18 team in the first-team group next season.

“I’m just desperate to get going again. It’s a big season for myself and the club, we want to make our mark.”

On Wednesday, the Observer told how Albion would not be in favour of league reconstruction amidst the health crisis.

Hearts supremo Ann Budge has tabled a proposal to reconstruct Scotland’s league set-up. Under the revamp, there would be three leagues of 14 teams.

Binos chairman Stuart Brown said the proposal is an “unwelcome distraction”. He said: “Whilst holding a degree of sympathy for the clubs negatively impacted by the untimely end to the season, the club board do not believe now is the right

“There is no-one as proud as Gregor to pull on the Scotland or GB shirt,”said Nibloe.

“He has a wealth of World Champs and Paralympics experience that all of the squad will be able to lean on and learn from.

“There will be a greater depth this season and everyone in the squad will have to work hard and train hard to earn their place in the team and I am excited by that.

“I think it will bring out the best in the squad moving forwards and I know how important this is for Gregor to be back.

“I am looking forward to getting back on the ice with him, he is a big personality and will really add to the team dynamics and will add drive towards the pursuit of our goals ahead.”
