Fundraising music fest is a hit

-

Musicians were delighted to combine playing in public with fundraising for a great cause thanks to Morrisons superstore in Stirling.

Shop management and staff organised a fundraiser festival, raising more than £1500 for Strathcarron Hospice.

Among the entertainers who supported the event were Ted Christopher, John Davidson, Amy Knox, Barry Honeyman, Rhum Dhu Ceilidh Band, Adrian Robertson, Greig Taylor, Jim McKenzie, Stevie Taylor and Andy McCormick.

The store’s people manager Annemarie Walker said:“We thought we would organise a fundraiser festival - as no one can go to any this summer - and raised more than £1500 for Strathcarron.

“We’d like to thank all our colleagues and customers, and a massive thanks to all the entertainers.”

Well-known musician Ted Christopher said:“We were delighted to be gigging live again at this fundraiser for the vital facilities provided by Strathcarron Hospice.”
