Sparkling family celebration on wishlist for diamond couple
Elizabeth and Ronnie Cummings from Cambusbarron are set to celebrate their diamond anniversary this Saturday, July 18.
Ronnie, who celebrated his 80th birthday in June, retired a few years ago from Sainsbury’s where he worked on the fish counter, while Elizabeth was a caretaker for 14 years in Cambusbarron Community Centre.
The couple were hoping to have a celebration in Navan, Ireland with their family, including seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, however, like so many other celebrations this year, Covid-19 has put a stop to that, for the time being.
For now they have put it on a list of things to look forward to once everyone can all get together, and the family have sent them both their best wishes.
