Taking their next steps in school career

School summer holidays are well underway now - even though our children haven’t been in class since the middle of March.

Lockdown is easing but for those who weren’t able to finish their final nursery or primary school year, it was a strange time.

We asked you to send in photos of children leaving nursery for primary school and P7 students heading up to high school - and you responded in style.

Over the new few weeks we’ll publish the photos you have sent in. Please remember if you’ve sent in a photo of your child with his or her school pals, we need permission from the parent/ guardians of those friends before we can publish it.

And don’t worry if it’s not in today’s paper — more will appear on Friday and forthcoming issues.
