Caley Marts sold 118 cattle comprising of 76 bullocks, heifers and young bulls, 42 OTM cattle. With a plainer show of bullocks they averaged 648kg at 219p pkg, heifers 592kg at 229p pkg, beef bulls 680kg at 195p pkg, dairy bred bulls 595kg at 169p pkg (all over 16 months).
Prime bullocks sold to 252p pkg for a Limousin from JM Smith, North Boig, New Cumnock purchased by G Kirk, Butchers, Denny and to £1552 on two occasions for Limousins from AA and J Brand, Nether Myres, Auchtermuchty and FC Eccles, Bruckley, St Andrews purchased by W Pinkerton and J Gilvear and Sons respectively.
Prime heifers sold to 248p pkg on two occasions from M Orr, Penston, Macmerry and W Dandie, Learielaw, Broxburn purchased by J Gilvear and Sons and D Campbell, Butchers, Callander and to £1566 for a Limousin from Monkey Puzzle Limousins, Melrose purchased by HA Black, Butchers, Stirling.
Bulls (under 30 months) sold to 212p pkg for a Limousin from Monkey Puzzle Limousins and to £1509 for a Limousin again from Monkey Puzzle Limousins.

Caley Marts had forward 329 store cattle at the fortnightly sale.
Bullocks averaged 214p pkg selling to 264p pkg for a pen of Simmentals from Keir Farms, Aberdeen and to £1360 for a pen of Limousin from A Mckenzie, Ardgate, Gartocharn.
Heifers averaged 209p pkg selling to 230p pkg for a pen of Simmentals from W Mclean, Kilblaan, Campbeltown and to £1160 for a Shorthorn from A and H Kirkpatrick, Strathmore, Beith.
Black and Whites sold to 179p pkg from AHS Drummond, Glenside, Leswalt and to £780 from the same home.

Caley Marts sold 1819 spring lambs, ewes and tups at the weekly sale.
Many export lambs (38-44kg) were selling in excess of 230p pkg while heavy lambs (45kg +) although dearer on the week, were harder to sell.
Overall average for 970 lambs sold 225.1p (+18.3p otw) and +52p on the year. Top price of the day went to Doune Farms, West Lundie, Argaty for a 50kg Beltex lamb at £129. Top price per kg went to EW and J Davies, New Flockhouse, Blairadam for a 47kg Beltex at 266p pkg.

Also forward were 849 cast ewes and rams. An increased show of ewes were forward with a predominantly feeding show meeting an increased trade on the week, as buyers fill up orders ahead of Qurbani.
Heavy ewes averaged £103.13 and sold to £136 for a Texel from A Dunn, Redhall, Gargunnock. Export ewes averaged £62.47 selling to £89 for Cheviots from JA Heggie, Carden, Fossoway. Cast rams sold to £102 for Texels from H Emslie Farmers, Kinknockie, Mintlaw.
