SNP have let the people of Stirling down

-

Dear Editor I feel compelled to write due to the utter failure of SNP elected representatives to stand up for the people of Stirling.

They have remained silent on some vitally important issues that we have all read about recently. They have shown themselves incapable of questioning the actions of a council or a Scottish Government run by their own party.

An Snp-run council that has imposed drastic cuts and charges to bin collections without consultation and continues to ignore the unprecedented outcry. Nothing from the SNP MSP and MP.

- The scandal of the SQA Exams postcode lottery with many schoolchildren having their predicted grades marked down. Total silence from Stirling’s SNP MSP and MP on this vital issue.

- A local SNP councillor resigning from their party citing bullying and abusive behaviour from colleagues Again, no response from Stirling’s MP or MSP.

- Stirling’s SNP MP stating that Independence is more important than equalities in a leaked document; showing us where his real priorities sit. Not a murmur from any SNP colleagues.

It is now clearer than ever that the SNP do not really care about education, jobs, equalities or the services that matter to everyone else.

The simple truth is that the SNP’S elected representatives place party allegiance and their obsession with separation above representing their electorate. Anyone who shares these concerns can contact me on Dean. Lockhart.msp@parliament. scot

Dean Lockhart, MSP woman doing her duty as a councillor by trying to ensure her constituents are given the facts and the opportunity to discuss these possible changes.

I hope she is aware that many, many women support her. I think she is very brave rather than “bitter”.
