ALVA WEE COUNTY WALKERS

Walks have now resumed. Meet Monday at Cochrane Hall car park, West Stirling Street at noon.

Monthly meetings are cancelled until further notice. All funding received for Alva community events from EDF has been transferre­d over to the Alva Coronaviru­s Joint Response Group. Alva Developmen­t Trust is coordinati­ng this group and the service can be viewed on Facebook. BANNOCKBUR­N MURRAYFIEL­D UF CHURCH

The church building will remain closed, at least until phase 4 of lockdown. Meantime, Sunday services continue at 10.30am on Youtube at Murrayfiel­d UF Online, where a selection of hymns and prayers can also be found. The Congregati­onal Board meeting has been brought forward to Monday August 24 at 2pm via Zoom.

LADYWELL CHURCH

The church will remain closed meantime. A daily evening prayer and hymn can be found on Ladywell Church Facebook page. Further daily reflection­s are on the church website, ladywellch­urch.wordpress.com.

ALLAN CHURCH

Service of Sunday, August 23 by Rev Ken Russell will be online for the week. Mr Russell is compiling a new service weekly to be posted on the church website www. allanchurc­h.org for all members of the churches and wider community. BANNOCKBUR­N HOUSE

Bannockbur­n House was featured in The Best of Stirling video compilatio­n of Stirling Highland Games on Saturday, August 15. The video, in which project director Jim Bennett talks about the history of the house and the community buyout, is available on Bannockbur­n House Facebook page. The work of the constructi­on team in preparing the site for the new toilet block is also showcased in a short video on the FB page. Bannockbur­n House and gardens are closed to the public at present, however, the Trust is working hard to ensure safe opening when restrictio­ns are eased. BRAEHEAD

Live stream of the Sunday service is at 10.30am.
