Cops hunt attack trio as man seriously hurt

Police are hunting three thugs who seriously assaulted a man in the front garden of a house in the Raploch area on Saturday night.

The incident took place around 6.20pm when the 26-year-old victim was approached by the three men at the property in Craighall Street before they attacked him.

After the assault, the thugs then sped away in a dark-coloured BMW 1 Series car in the direction of Raploch Road.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene and the man was taken away to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with a serious facial injury.

In their hunt for informatio­n, police have issued a descriptio­n of the three men responsibl­e.

The first attacker is described as white, in his mid 20s, around six foot in height with a medium build. He was wearing a grey tracksuit top and trousers, with white trainers.

The second man is also a white man in his 20s, was around five foot ten inches in height and is of medium build with a tan.

He was wearing a grey long-sleeved top, black shorts, white trainers and a dark-coloured skip cap at the time of the incident.

Finally, the third attacker is also a white man in his 20s, around five foot nine inches in height. He was wearing dark-coloured trousers and top with a distinctiv­e grey/white and black panelled hooded top.

Police believe the victim of the assault was deliberate­ly targeted by the trio and have issued an appeal for anyone who can help their enquiries to get in touch.

Police Station said: “We believe this was a targeted attack on this man and we are working to identify and trace the three men responsibl­e.

“Officers have been carrying out enquiries and studying CCTV from in and around the local area to gather more informatio­n that will assist their investigat­ion.

“At this time, I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who recognises the descriptio­n of the three men and the car to contact us as soon as possible.

“I would particular­ly appeal to anyone who was driving in the area at the time or lives nearby that may have dash-cam footage of the suspects or their vehicle to get in touch.”
