REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Aberfoyle Parish Church and St Mary’s Episcopal Church plan to hold an Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial on Sunday, November 8. Further details will be intimated next week when we learn where we sit in the five-tier system of Covid restrictions and what these mean to holding such an event. An intimation will be in next week’s Observer, with notices on village notice boards. The church remains closed but should you be in need of pastoral support or the services of a minister please contact Session Clerk Janet Maccallum on 01877 382677.

CHURCH
A warm welcome awaits at church on Sunday at 11.15am. The service will take a different format - at present there will be no singing or tea available after the service. All necessary measures have been put in place so that good hygiene and social distancing can be adhered to. You will require to wear a face mask and sanitise your hands on entering the building. A short film has been produced to assist you which is on the website. The Worship Team will continue to produce an online worship available from 7pm on Sundays. REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Service on Sunday, November 8 at 10.45am. Due to Covid-19 restrictions there can be no Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial. All are invited to remember the fallen by painting a poppy on a stone. These can be placed temporarily at the west wall of the church, by the tower bell entrance, then when the roadworks are finished they will be moved to the War Memorial.

There will be no door to door remembrance poppy collections this year, due to Covid-19. Poppies will be available as usual in local shops. A poppy stall will also operate beside the Co-op store tomorrow (Saturday), on Sunday, November 1 and on Saturday, November 7. Contactless payments can be made. You can donate £3 to Poppy Scotland by texting “POPPY” to 70800, or visit www. poppyscotland.org.uk.
COMMUNITY COUNCIL

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Kilmadock Community Council is disappointed to announce that the traditional Remembrance ceremony in Doune will not go ahead this year. As a mark of respect, nominated representatives will be invited to lay war memorial tribute wreaths at allocated times. This adapted ceremony will follow plans discussed by the organiser and road traffic police and will observe social distancing guidance. KILLEARN KIRK
On Sunday, November 1, the service at 10.30am will be led by Rev Stuart Sharp and, as previously, all regulations relating to Covid-19 will be observed. On Sunday, November 8, (Remembrance Sunday) the minister will conduct the Remembrance Service will be at the War Memorial at 10.45am. The service is outside and everyone attending must have a face covering, socially distance and avoid grouping. Some may wish to listen to this service indoors, but on this occasion they have to call 07709 213342 between Tuesday, November 3 and Thursday, November 5, state their name and contact phone number and indicate if you are to be accompanied by a spouse ad child and state if a space is required for a wheelchair. Reservations will be notified by text. Bible Reading Plan for next week is 2 Corinthians 10-73, Gospel John chapter 1, 2 Kings 23-25, i Chronicle 1-6, Habakuk 1-3 and Zephaniah 1-2.
