Open competitions along with the matchplay events - Captain’s Prize, Club Foursomes and King George Bogey - were the only competitions that were not played in 2020. Kevin Brunton was very unlucky in the latter; as a Friday player he returned a potential winning score of five up but rain cancelled Saturday’s play and competition.

BRIDGE OF ALLAN

It was another wet and windy weekend but despite this competitions were completed. In the Friday Senior Gents

Nine Hole Stableford it was great to see a new winner in Alastair Masterson who scored 23 points to win by two from Gordon Darlington. Third place went to James Gore who scored 19 points.

In the Mccallum Rosebowl, Douglas Gebbie kept up his fine recent form and this week scored 42 points to win by four shots. Brian Paterson and Neil Douglas were second and third respectively, both scoring 38 points. Special mention to Graeme Cameron who scored the only two of the weekend.

There was an omission in last week’s report outlining the 2020 season trophy winners, so well done to John Johnston for winning the Willie Russell Cup.
