Ambassador’s obesity fight inspired her to help others with health goals
The views of Forth Valley residents and NHS healthcare professionals are being sought to improve the area’s health.
It follows the appointment of a network of UK ambassadors by charity Public Health Collaboration.
The Forth Valley ambassador is Tami Herron who has overcome her own health battles with obesity and Type 2 diabetes over the last 10 years.
She has been able to lose 14 stone, and has maintained that loss, as well as reversing her own T2 diabetes by living a low carb lifestyle.
Tami (pictured) said this week she is committed to help other people reach their desired health goals.
She said:“i am in the process of contacting local surgeries to arrange free training, education and support to the GPS and nursing staff and will be coordinating a free local support group for patients.
“Surgeries, chiropodists, optometrists, dentists, pharmacists, chiropractors and other health and wellness professionals are encouraged to be proactive and contact me to arrange their free training and information session.
“Anyone already following a low carb diet in the Forth Valley area or for those who would like more information can request information as well and are encouraged to join the local Facebook Group, Central Scotland Low Carb.”
