ALVA COMMUNITY COUNCIL

The community council is adhering to the current pandemic restrictio­ns, so meetings until further notice will be held virtually using Zoom. Meetings will start around 7.15pm. Members of the Alva community are welcome at all meetings and can request to join a meeting by emailing info@alvacommun­itycouncil. org.uk. Please make your request two clear days prior to the meeting. These will take place on Monday, January 11; Monday, March 8; Monday, April 12 and Monday, June 14. Any changes will be announced by newspaper, public notice, Alva CC website and Alva CC social media.

BANNOCKBUR­N MURRAYFIEL­D UF CHURCH

There will be an online Watchnight Service on Christmas Eve at 11.45pm, and Christmas Day Carols at 10.30am

LADYWELL CHURCH

ALLAN CHURCH

Watchnight Service on December 24 is at 11.30pm led by Rev Ken Russell. All welcome. This will be the last service for 2020; we wish you all a safe and healthy Christmas and New Year. There will be adverts in the Observer as usual to update you when services resume. Please note - new drop off date at church for Mary’s Meals has been delayed due to the covid regulation­s. Watch this space for further updates. The new weekly service is still available to watch from the website; check out at www.allanchurc­h.org. If you have no access to internet there is a recorded short message for the congregati­on and the community, which you can access via your home phone. Dial number 01786 641089. BRIDGE OF ALLAN BRIDGE OF ALLAN PARISH CHURCH

Bridge of Allan Parish Church will hold two services this Sunday, in the Chalmers Hall, both conducted by Rev Dan Harper. A family service will be held at 10am and a traditiona­l service at 11am. To comply with social distancing rules our seating is limited and booking is recommende­d (but not essential). ST SAVIOUR’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH

All public worship is suspended until further notice. All meetings, study groups, events and social gatherings connected to St Saviour’s are also suspended.

LECROPT KIRK

A joint Watchnight Service on December 24 will be held at11.30pm in St Blane’s Church, Dunblane. Joint Christmas Day Service is online at 10.30am. For in person services face coverings must be worn and social distancing is in place. For those unable to attend any of the services, the St Blane’s service is live-streamed and available on the Dunblane St Blane’s channel on Youtube. The service is also available from Sunday afternoon via telephone 01786 641133 with options for whole or parts of the service. Advent Bible Studies take place on Wednesdays in December at 11am via Zoom. Please contact the minister for details.

There will be no service on Sunday. You can watch or listen to the service led by the Moderator of the Genreal Assembly Rt Rev Martin Fair on the website and carols on CD. Christmas Day service will be heard in church at 10am.

LOGIE KIRK

The church is delighted that we have been able to join together for short acts of worship on certain dates midweek. From December we will be holding some services on a Sunday as well as a midweek service. As before, the services will only be held on certain dates and the numbers we can accommodat­e are limited as we are following the Test and Protect Scotland procedures. Normal deliveries of Logie Kirk News have had to be suspended because of the present Covid situation. The church in King Street, opposite the Golden Lion Hotel has closed until further notice.

QUEEN STREET METHODIST CHURCH

Due to the coronaviru­s pandemic there will be no worship services or other meetings being held in the church. Sunday worship is now being held online by Zoom. HOLY TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH:

Tomorrow (Thursday, Christmas Eve) there will be a Children’s Nativity Service at 4pm and a Midnight Mass at 11pm. Christmas Day Service on Friday, December 25 will be at at 10.30am. On Sunday, December 27, a streamed service for the First Sunday of Christmas will be available via the church website at www.holytrinit­ystirling.org . PARK CHURCH

There will be two services on Christmas Eve, one at 2pm and another at 6.30pm both led by Rev Maggie Roderick. Coronaviru­s precaution­s apply at both services. The 2pm carols and readings service will have a more traditiona­l format and is open to anyone in the congregati­on and visitors. A few places are available for the 2pm service and applicatio­ns to attend this service must be made prior to the service by telephonin­g the church office on 01786 462400 or e-mailing the Administra­tor at parkchurch­stirling@ gmail.com. You will be advised if you have been allocated a place. The second service at 6.30pm is a Christingl­e format with input from some of the young people of the church. Regretfull­y there are no spare places left for this service. Please note that the Christmas Eve services will be filmed and then placed on the website for those unable to attend. Audio recordings on CD will also be available later. There is no service in Park Church on Sunday. December 27. The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland Rt.rev Dr W Martin Fair, will be presenting an on-line service which can be accessed either via the Church of Scotland website www.churchofsc­otland. org.uk or through the Park Church website www.parkchurch­stirling. org.uk. We may not be able to meet together and sing carols as usual, but we are thinking of and praying for the congregati­on, community and nation. Wishing all a Happy Christmas from Park Church. CHURCH OF THE HOLY RUDE

There will be no Watchnight Service this year in the Holy Rude, due to the difficulti­es of enforcing Covid regulation­s, however there will be a shortened service of Lessons and (pre-recorded) Carols in the Holy Rude tomorrow (Thursday, Christmas Eve) at 3pm and a Christingl­e service in Viewfield Erskine tomorrow (Thursday, Christmas Eve) at 6pm. As is now the normal all coronaviru­s regulation­s will be in place in both churches.
