ALVA COMMUNITY COUNCIL

The community council is adhering to the current pandemic restrictio­ns, so meetings until further notice will be held virtually using Zoom. Meetings will start around 7.15pm. Members of the Alva community are welcome at all meetings and can request to join a meeting by emailing info@alvacommun­itycouncil. org.uk. Please make your request two clear days prior to the meeting. These will take place on Monday, January 11; Monday, March 8; Monday, April 12 and Monday, June 14. Any changes will be announced by newspaper, public notice, Alva CC website and Alva CC social media.

RAPLOCH SALVATION ARMY

The charity shop is now open on weekdays between 10am and 2pm. The Valley Furniture Project has also reopened. The ‘I am the way’ support group meets via Zoom on Thursdays at 7pm. Takeaway meals for the homeless are available, Monday to Friday, between 3pm and 4pm. Meals are also available for those isolated at home.
